We had a lovely night at new lanark mill. The location by the river clyde is fine and perfect for walks. The beautiful twin room was ideal for our family, and the gym and pool were clean and well-maintained. Dinner was a highlight-every dish was bursting with flavor and breakfast was just as excellent. All staff members were friendly and helpful!

Location, Social History of the place, DB&B deal. Excellent dinner.
Not enough time to use leisure pool and facilities: they closed at 7.00pm on Saturday and you cannot use them after 11.00 on checking-out day, so we after checking in on arrival we had to rush to squeeze in about 20 mins before closure and only then take our luggage to our room. Then in the morning we had to get up too early in order to get 30 mins before breakfast and checking out. Although there is free wifi access in common areas, there is no reception for mobiles, which makes communications with family and friends very difficult.

The views were absolutely fantastic. We arrived at the Hotel with lovely reception staff and were able to go into our room at 1pm which was fab. Walked into the room and the views were to die for. I realised one of the fans were broke, so i phoned up reception and they were able to replace one within 20 minutes which was great. Very close to all the activities and i thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my partner. Can i just say, the breakfast was glorious! Best full english i have had ever. Will be visiting back again very soon!!
The only mere complaints i have which really are not huge but when we walked into our room, there were around 3/4 flies flying around the room which was rather uncomfortable. Also, the mattress needed a wee bit of attention, quite noisy and a bit uncomfortable, maybe in need of a new one. Other than that, i can't fault anything, everything else was perfect.

Service really needs a boost during busy times!!! Gym access should definitely open earlier to cater to guests who prefer to start their day with a workout!!! Wi-Fi connectivity issues can severely interrupt the experience!!!

Very good combination of value and comfort allied to an interesting and unusual location. Quiet.

The historical context was interesting particularly the adaptive re-use of the old industrial buildings.
First night our room was directly above a noisy wedding party that went on till midnight and continued in the corridor outside our room till 1am. A complaint to the manager was sympathetically received and an adjustment made to our bill.
